Two casinos can look completely different and still run the same games, because the lobby is assembled from studios rather than built in-house. Knowing who supplies what tells you more about a casino than its homepage does: the studio decides the maths of the slot, the dealer in the live room and whether a game has a published return-to-player figure at all.

Why the studio matters to your bankroll

A slot's return to player and volatility are set by the studio, not by the casino, and the serious suppliers publish both in the game's own information panel. If a lobby is full of titles from studios you cannot identify and none of them state an RTP, that is a fact about the casino worth acting on.

Live dealer rooms

Live blackjack, roulette and game shows are streamed from a studio's own floor, which is why the same tables turn up at competing casinos. The things that differ are the table limits offered to Kenyan players, whether the stream survives a weak connection, and which language the dealer works in.

Games built for a small screen and a data bundle

Most play in Kenya happens on a phone, often on mobile data rather than wi-fi, and studios differ in how they handle that. Crash games and instant-win titles load in seconds and survive a dropped connection; a full live table does neither. If your connection is the constraint, the provider list tells you more than the game list.

Testing and fairness

Random number generators are certified by independent testing houses, and a certificate belongs to a specific game build rather than to a brand. Where a provider publishes its test reports, we link them from the provider page instead of paraphrasing them.

Betting should stay a game

Ke-Bet is an independent Kenyan betting guide. We are not a bookmaker and we take no bets. Every operator on this site is checked for three things: whether it holds a Kenyan licence or only an offshore one, whether it keeps balances in shillings and pays out through M-Pesa, Airtel Money, PesaLink or a Kenyan bank, and whether the bonus it advertises has terms a player can actually read. Links to operators are commercial; the order of our table does not depend on them, and where a brand has no verified bonus figure we leave the row out rather than invent one. Odds, bonus figures and limits change — read the operator's own terms before you stake.

Betting in Kenya is licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority, created by the Gambling Control Act 2025 and in force since 26 August 2025. The GRA took over from the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB), and the handover finished in February 2026 — licences issued under the old board still carry the BCLB wording. Stakes carry excise duty and winnings carry withholding tax, which the operator deducts before it pays you.
