About Us Page

Editorial, policies and help 9

Our stated goal is to enable punters in Kenya to be well informed and skilled enough to make sports betting a much easier enterprise. KE-bet.com is dedicated to keeping punters up to date on all the latest sports tournaments and happenings, providing them with the kind of up-to-the-minute information that will allow them to make as many correct calls as possible on the bets they're placing. Nothing is stated about a betting site here that the site itself, or the regulator, has not published first.

What You Will Find on this Guide:

What We Are About

KE-Bet is the definitive guide for anyone wanting to learn about sports betting in Kenya. Our coverage has gone from giving detailed and comprehensive information on sports betting outlets to the other side of online gambling. Every page states what it is built from: the operator’s own terms, the regulator’s register, and the market lists the books publish.

Our Trusted Track Record

This site publishes independent reviews of the online betting sites open to Kenyan players - sites that are themselves looking for a largely unregulated and unfettered betting market in Kenya. We rate the sites on a number of factors (some of which are quite subjective): we check the odds they offer on various sports and events; we check how easy or difficult their site is to use; we check which support channels a site publishes and the hours it gives for them; we see if their site is designed to work well on a mobile device; and we compare the sports, markets and bet types each site lists.

Ke-Bet is funded by affiliate commission: some of the sportsbooks we list pay a commission for readers who sign up via our /go/ links. Those agreements influence which partners appear in the side box and the order of a shortlist, never the licence, bonus terms or cashier limits we quote. The full explanation is on How We Rate.

Independent Review Processes

Our promise to provide a first-class service to our readers often leads us to sites with malicious intent. We come across betting sites that are rife with spam, malicious malware and redirects to undesirable destinations. Where we find them, the review says so and advises readers to stay away. While these may be extreme cases, we also warn punters in Kenya about betting sites that are slow to pay, have unhelpful customer service representatives, and have an interface so complicated that it seems designed to confuse users.

What This Site Is Built From

What this site does is narrow. We read what Kenyan betting sites publish about themselves — the licence entry, the bonus terms, the cashier page, the market list — and set out what those pages say. Where a figure is not published by the operator or by the regulator, it does not appear here at all.

Code of ethics

The Ke-Bet editorial team works to the SPJ Code of Ethics of the Society of Professional Journalists: seek truth and report it, minimize harm, act independently, be accountable and transparent. Catalinth Media Limited has put that commitment in writing in a signed statement (ref. CM-2026-2161). It is our own declaration — the SPJ does not certify or audit publications, and the statement does not claim otherwise.

Betting should stay a game

Ke-Bet is an independent Kenyan betting guide. We are not a bookmaker and we take no bets. Every operator on this site is checked for three things: whether it holds a Kenyan licence or only an offshore one, whether it keeps balances in shillings and pays out through M-Pesa, Airtel Money, PesaLink or a Kenyan bank, and whether the bonus it advertises has terms a player can actually read. Links to operators are commercial: a partnership can affect where a brand sits in a list, never the licence, bonus terms or limits we quote, and where a brand has no verified bonus figure we leave the row out rather than invent one. Odds, bonus figures and limits change — read the operator's own terms before you stake.

Betting in Kenya is licensed by the Gambling Regulatory Authority, created by the Gambling Control Act 2025 and in force since 26 August 2025. The GRA took over from the Betting Control and Licensing Board (BCLB), and the handover finished in February 2026 — licences issued under the old board still carry the BCLB wording. Stakes carry excise duty and winnings carry withholding tax, which the operator deducts before it pays you.
